Jenifer Davison wins Kitchen & Bath Design Award Presented by Kitchen & Bath Design News magazine

Jen Davison has been named a winner of the 4th Annual Kitchen & Bath Design Award Contest. Jen won a Bronze award in the Best Master Bathroom $50,000-$100,000 category.

Sponsored by Kitchen & Bath Design News magazine, the Kitchen & Bath Design Awards is a national contest recognizing outstanding achievement in project design and construction in 11 categories. For more information, visit www.kitchenbathdesign.com.

Nominees are kitchen and bath designers and specialists from across the country and entries are judged on aesthetic appeal, handling of unusual situations/challenges, attention to detail, functionality of space, originality, selection of color and finishes and overall impression of the project.

“I stripped this bath of all its plumbing, tile, vanities, lighting and started fresh”, said Davison. “The space our client envisioned was feminine and pretty, light and bright. She wanted a free-standing tub to be the feature of the space but wanted to also have a shower with a bench seat. She also requested a vanity desk where she can sit down to get ready and towel storage. The tub, by Victoria Albert featured a graceful wave shape, which I used as the design inspiration for the tile and side panels. I selected a gorgeous crystal Kallista Script series faucet with coordinating plumbing. The water jet mosaic in a traditional damask pattern is made of Calcutta marble adds a level of sophistication to the space. It is all complemented by crystal lighting by Visual Comfort and crystal hardware by Emtek. The wallpaper used in the space features tiny glass beads in a tone on tone polka dot pattern, giving a little extra sparkle to the space.”
